FWIW 17 years ago in Boy Scouts we received fifteen 20 gauge Beretta A300s that got used hard and performed flawlessly. I attended a range day for work yesterday. For the past 27+ years, I have been the guy running the range. Now I am an attendee...
Free ammo to shoot and the weather was decent, 78 degrees with a light breeze. We started shooting at 8am and finished at 3pm. I shot over 600 rounds thru the old Glock 21, thats a .45acp. I was the only one on the range shooting a .45! The other 22 shooters were using 9mm...whimps! They called me "That old guy using that old black powder gun".
The range is in the foothills just West of CastleRock, Colorado. I saw a 3 1/2 foot rattler slithering off the 2 track up to the range...as if to say, "just remember me and my brethren are around" I dislike snakes of any kind...fortunately, he was the only one seen.
Today I am sore and feeling every bit "That old guy...."
PS not a single issue with the old Glock 21...as I was putting it back in the range bag, I am almost sure I heard the gun say, "Is that all you got...lets do another 600, you whimp"
