I'm looking for a good deal on a 20 ga Montefeltro, or Super Black Eagle. Please let me know if you see one.

I received my renewed LTC today. I'm good until 2029.

The Glock 21 went to the range this past Friday for 8 hours of training with 800+ round fired. Yes gents that is correct, it was a full day of shooting, with myself and one other investigator shooting the Manly GLOCK 21 in .45 ACP.

There were other guns there, all 9mm, the Springfield XDs well 2 of them had issues in less than 500 rounds, one of the SIGs had issues. The S & W M&Ps all 9mm performed without issue. 2 of the GLOCK 9mm guns had issue, one was a 25 year old guide spring and rod, and the other was an aftermarket magazine issue.

The GLOCK 21s....well they were as you would expect...Flawless!

So I started on the re-finish of my Husqvarna rifle, and it is maybe a 1/3 of the way done. The High Standard HD-Military Is next, the parts are in and it is just waiting for cold winter evenings. But as I have posted before the HD-Military came in nicer than I thought it would be and it has the long barrel. It will be a shooter and user. but not the quick packing gun that I had originally thought because of the length and it doesn't fit in my fishing and wandering around the hills pack.

I was coveting Jim's little shop keeper's revolver, (yup I know I am not supposed to do that), so I started thinking about looking for a cool old .22 in a little smaller set up. Not the Beretta 21, they are too small to be accurate with my big mitts. I found this: It is a High Standard "Sport King" .22 LR as you can see there are some finish issues and the grip on the right side is broken and repaired and it needs a little TLC... I found a replacement grip panel for it in the deep end of the bay...just the right side panel...perfect! A quick clean up and we should be good to go, just in time for a trip to Gunnison for a shooting outing with my nephew and his son. Yup...I like me a fine old High Standard .22! :D

I'm going shooting with Santa!
My old partner on the SAR team and his bride moved into town and he wanted to go shooting.
Of course, I agreed.
He asked me if Santa could join us.
His new neighbor is a professional Santa.

A quick, entertaining stroll through the guns used in the movie Die Hard:
