I like Winchester 1300 Defenders personally. If you find a used one, buy it! The design has gone to turkey and is now the XSP or something. I think the Chinese knocked them off under the Stevens brand. They're the best shotgun ever built if you ask me. I do have a Mossberg 590A1 ready for action. No firsthand experience with the he Maverick 88, but Mossberg makes a fine shotgun.
