My son and I are planning a range day while he's in town. I have 100 rds of .45 ACP set aside for the occasion.

We had a fun morning at the range today.
I miss having my son around.
Next week he's off the Spain and then S.Korea shooting bicycle races.

Met up with bloodhound last night. Had a great time and walked away knowing a lot more about .22 pistols and state mag laws than I did before. There were a couple aging bikers (Sober Souls by their patches) close buy when we were discussing guns, gun laws, and how badly one might get pinched if found in violation. I half-thought one or both might speak up to share personal experience with johnny law but they were polite and minded their own business.

I got bored today and priced out a .22LR build for precision shooting. I hit $2k in parts, not including the optic, and quietly closed my computer.

It would have been fun build and a sweet rifle.

I hear you.
I've wanted to bring my K-31 to "match" condition, but the cost of the diopter and muzzle break are beyond my paygrade.
