Gun range afternoon with a grandson. Good clean fun. He brought his RIDICULOUS S&W .500 Magnum revolver. Good crap, that thing hurt to shoot. It got everyone’s attention when it fired, though.
Lots of .45acp and 9mm para were sent down range, too.

Read an article about the Mossberg Maverick 88. Considering one.
I looked at one a while back. They have a pretty solid reputation.
The difference between the Maverick 88 and the 500 is the trigger group and safety location, and that some parts hecho in Mexico.
Around here, new 500s are scarce as hen's teeth and 88s are flying off the shelves as fast as they come in.
