Thanks for the bump, Hov. Here's an update.

Dad was in ICU for two weeks and has been in rehab ever since. His mental decline is rapid and severe and we are progressing into long term care now. He has always been a rock, but now seems so broken. I am profoundly sad for him.

Rita spent Christmas week in the hospital. A few days before surgery she missed the bottom step coming downstairs and cracked her ankle. They went ahead with her neck surgery, which turned out much more involved than anticipated. She is just now making the turn on pain management and is recently starting to show significant mobility improvements. The doc just cleared her to go on her Elvis cruise later this month and that has been a magic pill for her spirits.

Paul has defied the predictions of his doctors. He is still sick and being treated, but seems in good spirits and hasn't given up.

Docs still haven't figured out what is wrong with Jason, but he is able to work and is doing well at a sober living center.

The new granddaughter still the most beautiful creature I have ever seen.
