OK...so I am going to share with you all one of my wife's secrets...ok she doesn't keep it secret, she tells everyone, I try to keep it secret. My wife watches Christmas Movies all the time, when ever they are on, even as early as September (Curse you Hallmark Channel). If it is Christmas themed, she is watching it.

I have a few Christmas movies that I enjoy, but not until the day after Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving day is for parades and football or better yet just leave the TV off...but no Christmas movies until the day after.

Am I right or am I right...right!

It's that time of year again - - - when wealthy city slickers in fancy suits lose their girl to a flannel-wearing small-town working stiff she reconnects with while visiting her hometown for the holidays.

Neoither of us enjoy Christmas movies before Thanksgiving. One holiday at a time. Even when it is time, after 35 years my darkness has overtaken Rita's holiday movie desires. I haven't had to watch a single hallmark Christmas movie for last 2-3 years. Even more for the Sound of Music. We will watch Christmas Story out of habit, but usually nap through it.

They have their own 24x7 channel here. #55. It's amazing how often I hit 55 by mistake. 50 has hockey 58 has headline news. 55 really is out of place. Should be in the 40's somewhere. There's nothing in the 40's anyone cares about.

My wife does the same. I think she started in friggin July. And she's dragged a kid or two along with her.

I have a strict No Christmas Anything until at least after Thanksgiving (and that's me being generous).

No one follows it.

Jesus did say there'd be persecution even from family members. It's a cross I bear.
