When I started a new job a few months ago, there was an old computer and a roll of cable that someone had stored in my office. It became my end table.

We have furniture stores around here that would move that for $400.

Does anyone else find the term "end table" a wee bit morbid, like furniture you'd find in a funeral home?
Or maybe a proctologist's office?
