Yes but the (Jimmy Dean brand anyway) patties have a Precise measurement system right on the packaging to make slicing the patties just right.

Patties break up much easier lending themselves well to quiche and other assorted dishes where a slice of link would be uncivilized.

Just for eating...I like LINKS...for cooking and putting on egg sandwiches, its PATTIES.

As mentioned, Patties lend themselves to other uses like scrambles, and gravy, and sandwiches.

When I was growing up, we never had links at the house, so I always ordered links if we were eating out for breakfast.

I like em both!

Why do people want to build walls between everything? There is absolutely no reason links and patties can't live in harmony. Each has their place and adds value in their own special way.

BJ's country store has a food counter and make the best cheese biscuits ever. Hot biscuits and runny rat cheese. You can get them stuffed with bacon, pork tenderloin, hot link sausage. sissy nonhot link sausage or pattie sausage. I usually get the hot sausage links and side order of bacon for the dogs. If I don't bring them bacon that put on their pitiful dog act and watch me eat. They have no mercy.

I typically go for the less phallic shaped option. Patties.

I go for the rope tobacco shaped option.
