..for a big gulp of Old Overholt Rye whisky (Doc Holiday's brand of choice. True story.), a Coors Light and a Padilla Churchill. They were seconds from Cigars International and only cost 30.00 for 20 cigars. At first they were slightly dried out and the draw was too easy but a few days in my custom beach cooler humidor with a little chunk of florist foam soaked in water brought them back. These are really good cigars and the price was great. Probably should have put this in the Cigar section but I always was a rebel.

I do enjoy Old Overholt! I grew up 5 minutes from the original Old Overholt Distillery.

I too, have a bottle of Old Overholt in the pantry. I bought it this week in fact. For the first time, as far as I recall, there were two choices - the usual OH, and a Bottled-in-Bond OH, both aged 4 years. The BiB was only priced $4 or $5 more, and that's what I got. It's absolutely the best for the price, but better than most others anyway, regardless of price. I first read of it on a forum several years ago, when someone was discussing how OH was the drink of choice for many WWII veterans, including his father and uncle and other relatives, and had become a family Christmas tradition to have a bottle in the house.

If I'd listened to everything that they said to me, I wouldn't be here.

And if I took the time to bleed from all the tiny little arrows shot my way, I wouldn't be here.
