Got ours turned over today. The 1962 Gravely model LS is to thank.

How'd that rotary plow do? Looks like it did stellar. I need to find me a shroud for mine, or just make something. I'd really love a tiller implement for it.

The rotary plow had to be one of the best Gravely implements. It cut six inches deep and just powdered the dirt. It rips up virgin sod, but the layer of grass needs some more work before it's shredded. The dirt shield is great for laying furrows. I've used a rotary plow without and though useable, it throws dirt more than piles it. Once you get the rotary plow adjusted correctly, it's a pleasure to use.

Ol' Blue brought home 8 fruit trees tonight. Two varieties of pear, a plumb tree, two varieties of peaches, and three varieties of apple. Tractor Supply had a nice sale going on. The best time to plant fruit trees is 20 years ago.

I'm fairly pleased with how things are coming up so far. However, the garden desperately needs some good rains. Unfortunately, there isn't much in sight. I need to till up the middle of the rows to get up some of the grass and weed out around the sprouts, but I until I get some decent moisture in the ground I need to leave it be. So far, I have seen any cut worms like last year when they nearly took my entire garden. I'm very thankful for that. Checking on this every single day, in case I need to poison. I've got four rows of sweet corn, four rows of purplehull peas, one row of snap beans, some tomatoes, half row of squash, half row of okra, and one row of watermelon. I'll probably plant another half row of snap beans next week if we get some rain.

My wife has her raised beds planted with cherry and roma tomatoes, bell pepper, cucumbers, few different herbs, and some strawberries.

First tomatoes, and a small bell pepper. So far I've picked 10 tomatoes; so, about 10 more, along with jalapeno and bell peppers, and a few onions, and I'll be ready to make some fresh picante.
