I love .22s in rifle form for sure, but I have a problem when it comes to .22 pistols. I would have dozens...I just like them. I have owned close to 50 different .22 hand guns, from revolvers to semi-autos, and even a few Thompson Center Contender single shots. I normally keep it to 3 or 4 at a time, and have never had more than 6 at any one time. But over the years there have been a lot. It all started with a Lama .22 semi auto, think mini 1911 design. I bought it when I was 21 with the proceeds of a tax refund. That gun is long long gone, but from there it was a Ruger MK II and a Ruger Single Six, both of those guns have been over the hills and thru the woods with me. I still have them and they are among the few things I would grab in an evacuation...
I also have a Colt Challenger that I bought from a co-worker's husband years ago. It is a very classic OFG .22
I have always loved the High Standard HD Military. I have owned a few, but they are collectable, and the ones I have owned have been pristine, so they went to collectors. I found one in pieces in a box, that the previous owner had taken apart, not been able to put back together, and then improperly stored. I tried to get it back to working order, but some parts were not usable and it ended up being sold off for parts. so I am always on the lookout for one that is in need of some TLC and the price reflects that...I think they are a true OFG .22 pistol!
PS here is a pic of one...not one of mine as I am still looking for "Mine"

I favor Ruger single sixes and their semi auto Mark whatever they're on now.
I finally found a used Ruger Wrangler. Excellent gun for the money. I wanted a cheap .22 to carry around with me when I'm working outside should a mole, squirrel, or groundhog appear. Heritage offers just about everything you can imagine barrel length wise, but they have the darn safety on them. Yuck!

I've had/have a number of .22 pistols. The two best performing are the Ruger Single 6 and the Taurus TX22.
My wife has one of those cute little pink 22 autos that Bloodhound secretly desires, but it is a finicky pain in the butt.
