Water, water everywhere....

CA, after years of brutal drought, is getting hammered by snow in the mountains and torrential rains and flooding right now.
Aside from the loss of property, this is going to play havoc with many crops that are grown in CA. The trees are in blossom right now, but the bees can't fly around doing their bee thing, so some nuts and stone fruit are likely going to be in very short supply. Also most of the artichoke crop is grown in the Castroville/Salinas area, and the Salinas and Pajaro rivers which flow through the fields have badly flooded.
I just thought you'd like to know,

Snowpack in CO is above average this year as well. This is particularly good news for those in So Cal as the Colorado River feeds Lake Mead and the CO River drainage is at about 130%. Certainly not enough to refill the lake completely, but it's a positive situation. Still, it'd be nice not to waste it watering farms and golf courses in the desert.
