For my personal approach, I believe in the timelessness of this saying that has been attributed to many saints, both Catholic and Orthodox: "Preach the Gospel always. When necessary, use words."
As for that old saw "if they had ever considered where they are going after they die", kids today don't even have a firm grasp of the reality of the here and now. Most of them have lived in Hell their entire lives and would notice no difference if they died in their sleep and awoke in the pits. Don't tell them about Heaven, show them Heaven. The rest will follow.
