My son (and fishing buddy) is in far off Utah.
I saw my rod (the one he bought me) sitting behind the bedroom door last night and it made me think of him and fishing with my son.

Drove/Hiked to a high mountain lake with the fam over the long weekend. Man I hope these kids grow to love these places as much as I do.
Fish On.
You know what I love seeing more than kids fishing? Nothing. Not one damn thing. Unless it's one kid helping another kid bring in a fish.
The morning's catch. Miss P likes to catch 'em and eat 'em but touching is out of the question. I hope you all have occasion to see this sort pride in the faces of the young men you're helping to shape.
Mrs Fred didn't fare as well.

I always say that my world may turn to s&*t tomorrow (it has before, after all) but today I'm the luckiest man alive.
We've worked hard on our family and at our jobs to get where we are today so it's not blind luck. Still, only God's grace has kept us afloat and together during a few trying times over the last 40ish years. I could have easily screwed it all up.
