Chicagoland is a big area. The Pipe Show is held at a convention center, safely out in the suburbs.
It doesn't feel much like "Chicago." Don't expect to encounter any wilding teenagers or Al Capone. Or Mayor Beetlejuice.

Seeing what twenty pipe weenies can do to a shop once a month, I couldn't imagine the havoc a few hundred/thousand could wreak. Ive tried and my imagination boggled.
Be a good couple of days to have the camera vest concession, though. We should work that angle. One stop shopping for all of their camera vests, clasp suspenders, wallet chains, light blue dungarees and questionable shoeing and booting needs.

Our boi N8 was awarded the Master of Pipes for industry. Whatever that is. Thile is now Doctor of Pipes. He was around CPS in the early days.
Evidently beards are a prerequisite for consideration. Outdated hats are not.
