We saw it today. A true story.
I thought it was excellent and well worth seeing.

The Sound of Freedom
Pipeson and I went to see it last night.
This is a great movie. Make every effort to go see it.
I'll give away this much, which isn't really a spoiler. If you've watched any of the interviews with stars and producers and even Tim Ballard himself, you already know that part of the movie involves an elaborate sting operation that brings some of the principal traffickers into the open and rescues a bunch of kids.
This story line stretched my credulity somewhat -- "based on a true story" often suffers a bit when translated into a movie.
But as the credits are rolling, they show police photos from the actual raid. And "Holy Crap! This really did happen!"

The Sound of Freedom
Reminiscent of Epstein's Island.
I found it interesting that conspiracy theorists bring up the Adrenochrome thing when they discuss The Sound of Freedom.
You can practically bet money on this. Adrenochrome isn't mentioned or even suggested in the film, but critics in liberal media have picked up on it to discredit the film as a conspiracy hack job. Once again you can practically bet money on this.
Unfortunately all this does is distract from the meaning of the film.
Child kidnapping was a frequent thing in farm labor camps in my state back in the 1960s-70's. If a family is here illegally, they don't dare go to the Sheriff or Feds, so it goes unreported and the children are lost.
The boy and girl leads should get Academy Awards.
I agree the police footage is sobering. Very sobering.
