I like how America doesn't hear a thing about Women's National Soccer Team until they lose, and then everyone still cheers.

Other than that.... none of my favorite teams, candidates, political parties, or nations are winning.

Years back, at work, the Amway virus swept through the company. Those who joined gleefully referred to each other as winner at every opportunity. "Good morning, winner." "What's for lunch, winner!" "Are you winning, winner?" It was nauseating and pretty much killed the word for me.

In high school one of the super cool jocks signed my yearbook "You a real cool dud." I never forgot and it still makes me laugh.
