Did anyone see the solar eclipse?

Post by Hovannes »

I was working at the Fair and a lady passed around sheets of unexposed 4x5 film that filtered the sun so the eclipse could be observed.
It was very cool!

It was a pretty cool moment.

My daughter brought two pairs of eclipse glasses to us so we could watch. I called the neighbors across from us so they and their little boys could share with us. While we’re out there another neighbor came out with her teenagers and joined in. Soon, two other families showed up and turned into a big eclipse fest. The whole herd of us stood in the middle of the street sharing two pair of glasses in a puff, puff, pass rhythm. Good times.

I’m grateful for my thoughtful kid. If she hadn’t prodded us the whole neighborhood might have just sat it out on the couch.

Side note, one neighbor was wearing a Grateful Dead tshirt. I thought of coco when I saw it.

:D :D :D

It was pretty partial here in Alabama. We had one set of eclipse glasses and my welding helmet. I really want to see a full eclipse at some point in my life, but this was cool.
I am not as cool as JimVH. Nor or you. Well, unless you ARE JimVH.
