I couldn't let this pass. The east Texas Bishop in Tyler got fired, for being too outspoken on his conservative, anti-abortion stance, apparently. I looked at the CNN site purposely, just to see how they would frame it.

Damn CNN.
Of course, they would have their readers think that Pope Francis removed Bishop Strickland because Strickland rebuked Biden's pro-abortion positions.
Naturally, the only sources they quote/link are themselves and National Catholic Reporter.
==================================
The excuse given by Pope Francis for the removal of Bp. Strickland is that there are some irregularities in the running of the business of the Diocese. [This is quite chilling to all faithful bishops, because every diocese is a complex enterprise run on donated funds. In every diocese, there are disputes over some programs or other, and whether too much or too little resources are devoted to certain things. This could become a catch-all excuse.... If Pope Francis sends his friends to investigate, you will be found guilty of something.]
Canon law exists, in part, to ensure that higher-ups in the hierarchy do not become tyrants. Procedural justice is a good thing. Pope Francis has shown over and over that he is willing to side-step canon law whenever it does not suit him. This appears to be one more instance.
The actual reason that Bp. Strickland landed in Francis's crosshairs is a tweet by the bishop rebuking Francis for "undermining the Deposit of the Faith." This comment was in reference to Francis's vague language and positions which seem to disregard Jesus's clear teaching regarding the sanctity of marriage vows, as well as the long Judea-Christian Tradition that LGBT stuff is grave sin.
Of course, CNN pretends to be ignorant of this.
CNN wants their readers to think that it is a sin to rebuke Democrat politicians for killing babies.

Has one US cardinal or bishop spoken out in support and solidarity with Bishop Strickland?
Has one spoken out in protest against the illegal action of the usurper Jorge Mario Bergoglio?
Or have they all been frightened into cowardly, acquiescent silence?
Your silence gives the conman his power

The Catholic Church is not a political body that gives power and sways to the loudest rabble.Jocose wrote: ↑13 Nov 2023, 08:22 https://x.com/ProtecttheFaith/status/17 ... 11621?s=20

There is great power in faithful silence, patience, and prayer.
Francis will have to give his accounting for this, soon enough.

Dang it. You're right. A schismatic.
He's what we want people to avoid running to, due to scandal by the Roman Pontiff.
