I'm rather partial to It's A Wonderful Life
Frank Capra was a genius.

It's not Christmas until Hans Gruber falls off Nakatomi Plaza.

Anything Hallmark. The creativity and originality… I just can’t get enough.

None of them were. But it prompts an interesting question - - -

What do you fellas (and gals if Miss B happens by) want in a Christmas movie?
- An unwilling couple, thrown together by unforeseen circumstances, who fall in love by the end?
- A fractured family that re-learns to love and appreciate one another by the end?
- An epic journey to get home (Planes, Trains and Automobiles anyone?)?
- A poor boy/man who's simple gift is the best gift (a la A Wonderful Life, Little Drummer Boy)?
- Redemption, like Scrooge?
- The prodigal child who returns home rich, but lonely, who realizes how wrong he got it?
- A genius kid who constantly repels home invaders or somehow else shows that innocent children are better than bumbling adults?
- Or, something that more closely centers around the historical and actual birth of the Christ child?
If we ever get to heaven boys, it ain't because we ain't done nothin' wrong. - Kris Kristofferson

A good Christmas movie needs a great villain.

Herad, Scrooge, Grinch, Hans Gruber, Darth Vader....
