Rita has big surgeries scheduled for tomorrow and Friday. The surgeon is predicting 7-10 days in the hospital followed by two to three weeks of in-patient rehab. She's been miserable for a long time and lately has started falling a lot. The docs feel like this will help alleviate most of her neuro and pain issues, but it feels to me more like they are saying "What the heck, there's nothing else left to do." We've been chasing our tail for a couple of years with no relief. She needs this surgery to work.
I could use a word, too. I'm spent. Trying to meet her needs while making a living and dealing with my own health stuff has become overwhelming. I'm completely failing at my daily mission of not being a butthole and I'm simply exhausted. I could go on, but I already feel like a whiner.
