This week I'm hardening the first of the tomatoes..
Today I also seeded the experimental mini clover lawn.
It's supposed to rain Sunday, so that should help the mini clover along.

I turned in Oyster shell and well aged steer manure into the #1 bed this morning.
I'll work on the trellis and irrigation this afternoon.

I picked up green zucchini, gold zucchini, Armenian cucumbers, and a Consuelo Genovese Tomato at the local ACE this morning.
I'll probably try trellising the zucchini and cucumbers this year.

I haven't turned over our fall/winter garden yet, but I plan to this week. I already have various onions to plant. Otherwise, I've mostly finished pruning grape vines, and I've fertilized the pecan tree, 2 fig trees, and 2 blueberry bushes. I've got 2 plum trees and 2 pear trees yet to fertilize. Then I'll begin shopping for tomatoes and peppers, yellow squash, and some sort of climbing pole beans this year. I', not planning to try planting corn this year.

I'm trying to decide if I want to try a new variety of popcorn this year or just plant the same yellow pop corn seeds from the snack aisle at Wally World. Why try to fix what isn't broken?

Fresno Chilis arrived at the ACE and I nabbed the last six pack. An Italian Curly is all that's missing now.

Hoping to plant a small garden this year. Deciding if I'm going to find a good used tiller or rent one. Haven't decided what all to plant yet.
