At the age of 3 I complained that there weren't any cartoons on the days following JFK's shooting in Dallas.

I was in 4th grade during the Cuban missile crisis. Each kid in class had to give the teacher our plan in case of nuclear missile attack, e.g., whether to run home, or stay at the school and take shelter underneath a desk.
