For years, maybe even decades, I've used Murphy's Oil Soap for my car washing needs. It did a good job but I haven't been able to find any in stores these days, so I need a Plan B.
What do you use for washing your car?

The heated passenger side mirror fell off the family sedan.
That happens when the mirror heater is left on all day.
I fixed it about 15 minutes ago for the cost of a tube of silicone adhesive.

Diatomaceous earth turned out to be a disaster for cleaning up spills in the garage, but WalMart was out of Happy Kitty kitty litter and I had to clean up the mess in a hurry, so I tried the diatomaceous earth.
Not a good idea. My garage looks like a cocaine factory explosion.
Fast forward----I had another small spill this morning, so I went to my local WalMart and Happy Kitty was back in stock.
My first sack of Happy Kitty two months ago was $5 for a 40# sack.
This morning it was $10 for a 40# sack.
Grrrr!

I pulled the radiator off the T and am taking it to a radiator shop for repairs.

I went to a plating shop today. I have a lamp housing for the old sportscar that needs replating, but there is a small crack in it that needs to be repaired (soldered) and I wanted to find out if that would cause a problem with the plating.
I was told it won't.

I took the Model T radiator to a shop this morning.
They refused to even look at it.
The second shop I went to, took it and now I'm waiting for an estimate.

Now that I have the radiator off and the hood off, what better time to put on new "original" yellow and black ignition cables?
Or so I thought.
I ordered a set for my T. Four snazzy yellow and black cables have the spark plug contacts soldered on one end and contact buttons to be crimped on the distributor end after being cut to length. The longest cable has nothing at either end so I figure that is for the coil. I cut it to the proper length, crimp on the button contacts and plug it in.

So far, so good.

Next, I pull the longest cable off the engine that goes to the #1 cylinder and compare it to the next longest cable.
Something looks wrong---it's too short. The cable which I cut down for the coil, that didn't have the sparkplug contact soldered on, looks like it'll fit just fine, even after being cut down and the cable with the spark plug contact soldered on looks to be the nearly the correct length to service the coil---
so now I need to unsolder the sparkplug contact on one cable and solder it on to the other cable.

But wait, there's more!

I just then realized that the spark plugs on my T are modern Champions that don't connect to the ignition cables with a knurled nut compatible with new "original" sparkplug contacts on the new cables. I've put the old cables back on and
I'm putting those "original" cables in a box and wait until it's time to upgrade my spark plugs, LOL!
At least I have one more something to look forward to,

Today my son and I pulled the ignition and clutch basket off of the two stroke motor we are tearing apart. Borrowed a 29mm socket to take off the clutch. Need to go buy one.

We also worked on the bicycle my brother gave to him a couple weeks ago.
