For almost two years I been searching for Anthony Esolen's translation of all three books of Dante Alligheri's Divine Comedy, and tonight, Abebooks
had 'em new and in paperback!
I ordered them and I'm mighty happy about that!
I am very happy with CPS today.

There are so many guys who read (or at least want to read) so many of the classic works of wisdom and literature.
I've heard that Esolen's translation is the easiest to digest for modern readers, and I need all the help I can get.
An original clerihew poem by Edmund Bentley himself:

The Spaniards say Cervantes
Is worth half a dozen Dantes;
A fact disputed bitterly
By folks who live in Itterly.

Someone had an epi pen handy and knew what to do when my son had an allergic reaction to pine nuts in hummus and his throat started to close up.
That made me happy.
Not the allergic reaction. The epi pen

My precious "Tiny Piper" is now age 25. I have said (in jest of course) for the past 5 years that she needs either a job or a husband and I do not care which or in what order.

We are SO thankful to say that she has finally been accepted into the Cardiac Sonography program at Ga NW Tech. Upon completion of the program she will have the skill and certification to do a job that will afford her a life, house, car and ability to survive on her own.

Ever since my illness about 8 years ago, her survival without my self and Mrs. Piper has been my greatest concern and prayer, so this is not just what made me happy today, it is answered prayer!

Middle daughter (19) got a job at Amazon. It's tough to make it for kids these days. Terrible time to grow up in America if you ask me.
